I ve switched it through a lamy joy an al star a vista and a safari. I swapped an ef nib for the 1 1mm stub that came with the pen i prefer the ef nib for sketching although i do use the 1 1 nib in a safari for everyday writing.

Ink flow is every bit as good as the safari and the 1 1 nib makes exactly the lines i hoped for. The regular nibs are boring and the 1 5 that came with my lamy joy took up too many pages during each lecture nearly twice as much. Did this review for fun even though my crappy handwriting doesnt do it any justice. The black is really shiny with just the red too on the end i wish i d gone for white now.

I thought i d try out the 1 1 nib. The body tapers towards the end. The pilot parallel pens which are also calligraphy pens are slightly cheaper. 2 people found this helpful.
